The present age is the age of Information Technology and with the vast advancement of technology and communications systems the influence of IT has spread to every sphere of our daily life. Innovations have increased exponentially and google has become a synonym for search; where with the click one can get any kind of information that one seek. Consequently these same tools in the wrong hands makes it easier to commit crimes and cyber related crimes are only getting more frequent.

 

The Police have a bigger role in these times of changing trends.Modernization of Police forces with regards to Weaponary, Communication Systems, Transport, Housing and Health care are going on and the Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs continue to spearhead the Modernization of Police forces with Crime and Criminal Tracking Network Systems(CCTNS), a Mission Mode Project(MMP) that could enable police forces across the country to share resources and information in real time.

 

I urge upon the personnel of Nagaland Police to be disciplined in duty, in conduct and in spirit keeping our motto of "Service, Security & Sacrifice" in mind and to strife forward for newer innovations to detect, prevent, investigate crimes as well as to provide better services to the public.

  

Nagaland Police remain committed to provide service and security to the people and with sharing of information, timely collection, dessemination and reporting; the effectiveness of police can be further enhanced.
